Position Summary

Public Strategies is a nationally respected project consulting firm based in Oklahoma City with federal, state, and local clients seeking a range of services to include project management, program development and management, and communications/marketing. A large-scale service center in Oklahoma City provides vulnerable Oklahomans with a range of supports for gaining or improving their employment situations or strengthening families, two areas where Public Strategies is widely respected for its implementation of research-informed solutions. Other team members provide training and technical assistance to hundreds of government agencies and/or programs across the country that are working to become change agents in either the human services or employment fields, with PS providing expertise in performance management, best practices, and effective adult learning strategies. Finally, a full-scale marketing team provides modern technology and effective communication solutions to meet the demands of PS programs and for businesses and organizations that seek the expertise of a unique and dynamic marketing team.

The Marketing Strategist provides communications/marketing expertise and support, including client relations, strategic planning, market research, content creation, social media, and digital engagement, analytics, and project management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates the development and implementation of strategic communications plans for internal and external clients
  • Generates creative and research-informed marketing approaches that drive results
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external clients
  • Prepares project estimates and facilitates client delivery and approvals
  • Plans and executes initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, direct mail, television, etc.)
  • Researches and makes strategic media placements
  • Explores new tools and technologies for relevance
  • Creates content for social media, websites, advertising, proposals, and other materials
  • Manages social media planning and execution
  • Develops, presents, and implements communications materials for clients and new business prospects
  • Assist with still photography, video projects, PowerPoint presentations ,and multimedia advertisements
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Training

  • Bachelors degree, required
  • Applicable degrees include journalism, public relations, mass communications, marketing or related field

Experience

  • 3 years of experience working in a marketing capacity, required
