Position Summary
The Photographer & Digital Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing digital images for Public Strategies, our clients and partners. This role will involve overseeing the companies’ extensive photographic assets and ensuring their accessibility to the strategic marketing (StratCom) department, clients and partners.
Essential Job Functions
Photography:
- Capture high-quality digital images for events, projects, clients and partners
- Photograph all weekly corporate and event portraits
- Edit and process image files, applying appropriate metadata
- Prepare objects for photography, including setting up lighting and backdrops
- Shoot short video reel work for social media
- Support photography for programs and events
- Set up, tear down and maintain high-end photography equipment
- Create and edit digital images for all marketing projects
- Develop and maintain catalogs of images and art within a DAM System
- Implement standards for image capture, editing, and storage
- Use integrative tools like CI Hub to increase efficiency
- Tag, label, organize, curate all files coming from the creative team
- Facilitate access to digital assets for museum staff and external requests
- Manage photography studio and equipment
- Create media records and link image files in the DAM system
- Manage our photographic archives
- Execute best practices for file management, data storage, search and file optimization
Qualifications
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in photography or a related field, required
- Will consider 4+ years work experience in lieu of degree
- 3 years of experience in digital photography and asset management
- Experience with DAM systems. (BrandFolder Specifically)
- Expert in Adobe Photoshop
- Expert knowledge of studio lighting, digital photography, and image editing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
