Public Strategies is a nationally respected project consulting firm based in Oklahoma City with federal, state, and local clients seeking a range of services to include project management, program development and management, and communications/marketing. A large-scale service center in Oklahoma City provides vulnerable Oklahomans with a range of supports for gaining or improving their employment situations or strengthening families, two areas where Public Strategies is widely respected for its implementation of research-informed solutions. Other team members provide training and technical assistance to hundreds of government agencies and/or programs across the country that are working to become change agents in either the human services or employment fields, with PS providing expertise in performance management, best practices, and effective adult learning strategies. Finally, a full-scale marketing team provides modern technology and effective communication solutions to meet the demands of PS programs and for businesses and organizations that seek the expertise of a unique and dynamic marketing team.

The Marketing Coordinator provides communications/marketing support, including content creation, media placements, print production, social media and digital engagement, client relations, strategic planning, market research, analytics, and project management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Helps plan and execute initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels (social media, email, print and digital ads, radio, etc.)
  • Assists in the development and implementation of strategic communications plans for internal and external clients
  • Researches and makes media placements
  • Creates content for social media, websites, advertising, proposals, and other materials
  • Supports timely coordination and production of materials, including establishing timelines by assigning jobs, monitoring volumes, creating project schedules, and tracking progress
  • Provides support to marketing leads and department leadership, as needed
  • Coordinates internal and external printing, including securing quotes, transferring files, conducting press checks, etc.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external clients
  • Explores new tools and technologies for relevance
  • Assist with still photography, video projects, and presentations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree, required
  • Applicable degrees include mass communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a marketing capacity
