Position Summary
The Marketing Account Manager plays a critical role in helping PS achieve success for our clients through responsive solutions in areas of marketing, resource planning and project management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Marketing Account Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on various marketing projects for a diverse set of clients.
This includes meeting with clients and key stakeholders to determine objectives; develop marketing strategy, project timelines and budgets; set-up and monitor tasks; coordinate with vendors and contractors; and provide regular updates and reports. Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with senior management, account managers, and clients on the development of strategic, brand-centered marketing initiatives for PS and its clients
- Research innovative styles and techniques that are appropriate for delivering impactful and relevant messaging to diverse target audiences
- Build consensus at all levels of the organization, as well as clients and vendors through relationship management and trust
- Understand lean process improvement and how to leverage it to create better project outcomes
- Must be intuitively adept and flexible to new or changing projects, systems, roles, and/or technology
- Meticulous attention to detail that helps the team you lead to pay attention to the same things you are noticing
- Empathetic mindset focused on curiosity over judgment that reflects in you and your team’s work
- Extensive knowledge surrounding workflow management software such as Jira
- Develops effective marketing strategies to achieve client objectives, working with the team in brainstorming, conceptualizing and executing thoughtful campaigns
- Focus on quality control, including proofing, reviewing, and measuring creative output and processes
- Continuously learn, evaluate and implement new marketing communication technologies, and keep the department informed and current with industry trends
- Create content including, but not limited to, organic social and web content, press releases, brochures, blogs, scripts, talking points, direct mail, posters, and other marketing work
- Bring an innovative approach to generate creative ideas that promote our brands
- Develop digital campaigns and analyze marketing metrics
- Set up tasks in project management system and monitor to ensure effective communication, workflow, progress, quality, and timeliness
- Manage timelines and delivery schedules in collaboration with the development team, designers, and copywriters
- Serve as a communication liaison between stakeholders, developers, designers, and copywriters, with strong attention to detail and clear, concise written and verbal communication
- Oversee quality assurance of deliverables prior to client delivery
- Provide regular updates and status reports to stakeholders
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, vendors, and team members, serving as a strategic resource and partner
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English or a related field, required
- Will consider 4+ years’ work experience (in addition to below experience) in lieu of degree
- Five to seven years of experience in marketing or communications
- History of creating and overseeing social media campaigns, producing content, reviewing analytics, and communicating results with stakeholders
- Background in developing marketing and promotional materials
- Proven work experience of designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
- Experience writing, editing, producing, and proofing content for press releases, social media, blogs, e-newsletters, and video scripts
- Experience with SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
- Demonstrable experience with online social tools, marketing campaigns, and web technologies
- Creativity and innovation are essential
- Excellent at crafting strategic messages for external audiences
- Ability to develop newsletters, news releases and promotional materials
- Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels of management
- Ability to interact with graphic and web staff to drive creative content
- Strong critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong writing skills, a solid understanding of what makes for an engaging story
- Proficiency in Acrobat Professional and MS Office products
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with various deadlines
- Implementing and managing media campaigns
- In-depth knowledge of CRM software and Content Management Systems
- Familiarity with Jira or other project management software systems
- Adeptness to maintain a positive attitude and a good sense of humor
