Digital Strategist- Full-Time Position

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma City or Houston

The Digital Strategist (DS) is responsible for providing digital content and distribution strategy for Saxum’s clients. The DS will create strategies across search, social, web & blog, email and paid digital advertising based on client needs.

Skills:

 

    • Excellent copywriting skills with understanding of medium best practices and client tone and voice
    • Ability to produce and deliver client presentations that clearly articulate strategies and goals
    • Partner with Designers and Art Directors to produce on-brand, engaging content
    • Actively manage client social channels and community engagement
    • Ability to manage client paid advertising budgets
    • Demonstrate understanding and basic ability to blend owned, earned and paid media to maximize audience engagement
    • Technical skills include:
      • Google Adwords
      • Bing Advertising
      • Google Analytics
      • Brandwatch or similar social listening tools
      • Email software (MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, HubSpot)
      • Social media publishing & advertising tools
      • Content management systems (WordPress)
      • Canva or similar basic design tools

 

  • Create performance and social listening reports with attention to insights

 

  • Possess basic research skills including secondary research
  • Possess strong proofreading and editing skills
  • Possess basic project management/coordination skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to develop effective internal relationships
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and leverage emerging editorial and social trends
  • Demonstrate quality assurance and control of work products
  • Build supervisory skills in working with interns, support staff, and entry-level professionals

 

  • Assume some client contact and participate in client meetings and conference calls
  • Successfully interact with clients, serving as an advisor and expert

 

  • Demonstrate ability to analyze data and performance metrics to inform and guide future strategy

 

  • Contribute to budget and campaign/project planning

 

  • Contribute to and take part in new-business presentations as requested
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of agency or production experience working toward the creation and development of successful campaigns or integrated experiences
  • 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing individuals or teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Strong writing background
  • Strong writing, communication and time management skills
  • Resourceful, driven, curious, client-obsessed and all about the work
