Description

General Description and Purpose: The Digital Media Coordinator is the primarily responsible for all social media channels, and digital media production. In addition, this role provides support to the overall strategy and brand awareness for BBB in support of Vice President of Communications. The communications coordinator is responsible for ensuring brand consistency in all messages and that all trademark and logo guidelines are being followed.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Develop Social Media Strategic Plan to support the BBB Strategic Plan and oversee implementation
  • Develop monthly content calendars that encompass messaging topics for social media and other channels/mediums
  • Develop social media content and provide for review/approval one month in advance. This includes written content and graphics (created in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite Products)
  • Pre-schedule both organic content and social media ads at least two weeks in advance of the campaign launch or run date.
  • Oversee and manage organic BBB social media activities on:
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Instagram
    • YouTube
    • Google My Business
    • LinkedIn
  • Oversee and manage BBB social media advertising on:
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • Twitter
    • LinkedIn

 

Video/Photography

  • Schedule, film and edit Accredited Business testimonial videos
  • Film and edit videos of all BBB events to include Trust Talks, Big Blue Bash, Torch Awards, Spark Awards, other events as assigned
  • Create a database of stock photography utilizing:
    • Local Accredited Businesses
    • Streampage assets
    • Stock photography subscription

 

Other duties as determined by the Vice President of Communications

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Products
  • Experience with Canva
  • Video production (filming, editing, cutting, etc.) experience
  • Photography experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work
  • Experience working with project management software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with content management systems
    • Ex: Sprout Social
  • Familiarity with utilizing social media outlets for business

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or other relevant field
  • Three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
