Description
Copywriter Your concepts are clever, strategic, and thrill your clients. You know that cute wordplay isn’t always enough. Where others see a creative brief, you see solutions. And when answers refuse to be found — you’re stubborn enough to find them.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative and impactful creative advertising concepts, rooted in strategy
  • Partner and constantly collaborate with an Art Director to develop ideas for campaigns and projects
  • Use research and strategic thinking skills to understand the goals and the audience
  • Put some meat on the bones — give ideas a reason to make sense
  • Keep the relationship between copy and visuals top of mind — because words and design don’t exist in a vacuum
  • Be a problem solver and create work that lands visually and verbally
  • Ask questions like “what do we want someone to do?” or “what do we want to communicate?”
  • Develop and evolve the verbal identity for brands
  • Alignment on creative with the team (Creative Director and Art Director) before it reaches the account and strategy team
  • Present work internally, and work with the Creative Director and team on external presentation of ideas
  • Review and proof copy before final production
  • Oversee the production phase with your Art Director and Graphic Designer to ensure all final deliverables are accurate and follow the creative concept
  • Be a resource for the Graphic Designer on all production needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years of writing experience at an agency, in-house, or equivalent
  • Exceptional portfolio and/or reel
  • Hawk-like attention to detail
  • Must play well with others and enjoy collaborating with a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Interest in consumer behavior, pop culture, and advertising trends
  • A sense of humor, lol
