Apply here: ODOC Content Marketing Manager Job Application Salary & Benefits: The annual salary for this position is up to $65,000, based on education and experience. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.   Objectives of this Role: • Create strong messaging promoting Commerce's programs and efforts • Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality content • Identify new opportunities to tell Commerce’s story as well as promote the state as a whole   Responsibilities: • Develop and implement social media strategies based on agency objectives/campaigns • Develop content for and manage Commerce’s social media accounts across various platforms • Glean content insights from data using monitoring tools, providing reporting to leadership • Public relations support, including assistance with drafting news releases, obtaining quotes from partner entities, etc. • Develop content for Commerce websites and marketing materials (including print and digital collateral, email newsletters, email campaigns, marketing campaigns, etc.) • Proofread materials, news releases, web content, etc., prior to publishing • Ensure materials, news releases, and articles follow Agency editorial styles • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects working under the direction of cross-functional team members that may include internal and external resources • Directly collaborate with agency departments as needed to ensure communication goals are met • Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders, including agency and department leadership • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or related field. 3 years of related experience preferred (which can include internships) in content management, copywriting, and/or public relations.

Knowledge & Skills: The ideal candidates will be proactive, ambitious, self-starters with a positive attitude. They must also be able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment and be adaptable to same-day turnarounds and changing priorities. Qualified candidates must have exceptional communication, organizational and writing skills. The position requires the ability to think creatively and proactively to bring innovative solutions to marketing challenges. Successful candidates must be able to work both independently and in a group setting. Knowledge of AP Style is required. An understanding of SproutSocial, Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
