Associate Creative Director (Video/Content)- Full-time position 

Location: Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Houston

The Associate Creative Director works hands-on with teams to generate and drive ideas forward with precision and passion in order to deliver work that drives the client’s business forward. The ACD should have both a broad theoretical knowledge and practical application of key workflows, including interactive, video and traditional integrated marketing. The ACD, Video/Content helps concept, produce and execute social, broadcast and digital content for clients and helps guide and mentor other team members.



Qualified applicants meeting all of the position requirements should apply at

  • 6+ years of agency or production experience working toward the creation and development of successful campaigns or integrated experiences
  • 2+ years of leadership experience directly managing individuals or teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, advertising, film, production or related field
  • Strong design/Art direction background preferred
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, Audition, After Effects
  • Integrated portfolio with strong video across mix of content, motion and video production samples
  • Technical-savvy and future-oriented
  • Interest in emerging video technology and trends
  • Strong writing, communication and time management skills
  • Resourceful, driven, curious, client-obsessed and all about the work

    • Demonstrate the ability to think creatively, plan strategically and leverage insights/data across multiple channels, work with different types of clients with an emphasis in animation/motion/video production and design

    • Support, challenge, inspire, lead, mentor and level-up team of talented content producers and designers
    • Present work and sell ideas to all stakeholders and represent Saxum at any stage, attend pitches and industry events as needed
  • Creative Expertise
    • Recognized expertise and experience in animation, motion design, video editorial and production and/or photography (equipment, tools, workflow, documentation and process)
    • Experience producing a range of multimedia formats and budgets from daily social content creation to larger broadcast productions
    • Experience sourcing and assembling talent and crew to execute vision and ideas
    • Experience with and creating emerging digital storytelling formats (GIFs, social video, digital video, video advertising bumpers and pre-roll, video distribution methods and best practices; AR, VR technology experience or knowledge is a plus)
    • Experience in creating and pitching compelling concepts through a variety of methods including concept summaries, scripts, storyboards, moodboards, animatics and presentations
    • Ability to effectively critique work product of others, providing timely and meaningful feedback and direction that drives quality and innovation 


  • Project and People Management
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of financial aspects of the business and industry
    • Put together production documentation; set and abide to production schedules
    • Manage relationships with relevant vendors and contractors including workflow and quality, in partnership with Project Management
    • Demonstrate ability to motivate and manage direct reports, project teams and vendors/freelancers
    • Manage project execution with regards to budget expectations
