The American Advertising Awards is a special time to recognize the great work coming out of the advertising, marketing, communications and PR industry. COVID-19 has affected all of us in many ways. That’s why we’ve reinvented the American Advertising Awards concept this year. Our talented professionals have worked hard in 2020 and will be recognized and congratulated even during these uncontrollable circumstances.
2021 American Advertising Awards - The Show Will Go On
New Experience, Same Great ADDYs
Call for entries closes on Wednesday, January 6th at 11:59PM. ADDYs judging will be conducted virtually this year. Physical submissions are not required. Therefore, we will not have a day to drop off physical entries. In some categories, entrants are allowed and/or required to upload additional digital examples of an entry (via video or photo). This is intended to provide more appropriate content for the judges during virtual judging. For most categories, there has been no change from prior competition years.
Due to the recent increase in COVID cases, The Oklahoma City Ad Club has decided to move the American Advertising Awards to a virtual awards gala. We will continue to uphold traditions such as the Best Of Awards, People’s Choice Award, and the student art show as well as introduce new, interactive elements. Including a virtual art gallery to display all professional and student ADDY award winners.

About the American Advertising Awards
The American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) is the advertising industry’s largest and most prestigious competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF Club (Ad Club) competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.
This is the 55th annual American Advertising Awards for the Oklahoma City Ad Club. Our club territory is prestigious and includes OKC, Tulsa, OK and Wichita Falls, TX.
Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie to win ADDY Awards – recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards. Entry in our local Ad Club competition is the first step toward winning a national ADDY.
Selection of the most creative entry in each category is affected by a scoring process in which the panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. ADDY judges are carefully selected representing multiple markets across the country. Each judge has been vetted and approved by AAF National. There are absolutely no judges from the OKC, Tulsa or Wichita markets.

People's Choice Awards
The Oklahoma City Ad Club will be hosting the People’s Choice competition at the 55th Annual American Advertising Awards. To vote, please bring a cash donation to the gala to benefit the Ad Club and our AES scholarships. Cash donations will be accepted through the show’s intermission and the winner will be announced at the end of the event.
